Monster Cookies

Baking

Another post?! Yes. WRITE ME ANOTHER! This recipe here has been stewing in my mind for months. Months! Months, I tell you! I couldn’t really decide in the right combination of candies to create this monster cookie. I didn’t want M&Ms. I love them. Don’t get me wrong. I just don’t like the candy coating on them for cookies. As I was baking these cookies, my husband would occasionally walk into the kitchen. During one of these completely casually walk-ins, he said “I’m going to really love these cookies, aren’t I? These cookies are dangerous”. Oh and how right he was. These cookies are sinister.

Ingredients:

9 bite sized Reese’s Peanut Butter cups (chopped into tiny pieces)
5-6 Fun sized Snickers bars (chopped into tiny pieces)
1/3 C of white sugar
1/3 C of brown sugar
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 stick of butter
1 tbs of crunchy peanut butter
1 tsp of baking soda
1 large egg
1 1/2 C of all-purpose flour
1/3 C of Instant Quaker oats
1/4 C or a bit less (eye it!) of semi-sweet chocolate chips

1. Prepare thyself! Prepare thy weapons! Preheat that oven to 350 degrees.
2.  In a luxurious bowl, one of great worth to you and your family, cream the sugars, vanilla, peanut butter, and butter. You must make sure that the concoction is up to par with the luxuriousness of the bowl. If not, the mixture will become incredibly bitter and jealous, resulting in a bitter mass that would not wed well or at all with the next ingredients.

3. Once the concoction has been pampered, add the flour, baking soda, Quaker oats, and egg. Mix well until the batter forms the shape of cookie dough. To this mass, add your chocolates. You must be gentle with the chocolates. You do not want them to become crumbly bits of nothing.

4. In a lined cookie sheet, bake your cookies anywhere from 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.

Note: Since we are using Snicker’s bars, make sure you do not overload your cookies with the nougat. This will cause for the cookies to melt a bit more than you would like. Distribute the pieces accordingly. You will know if your little ball of cookie dough has far too much caramel/nougat.
