Yesterday, I was texting back and forth with a lovely friend. She likes to garden. I’ve always loved the idea of having my own garden but never had the backyard for it. I do now! I desperately hope that since my mother is very good at gardening I’ll have a hidden green thumb somewhere in my DNA. Keep your fingers crossed for me, readers.
As I had stated before, I was texting my friend and she said something that made me experience somewhat of an epiphany. I had mentioned how I was afraid that I would kill everything I planted and her response was “I bet you won’t! And if you do it’s ok!”.
Did You Know?
It’s not only okay to fail but sometimes, it’s absolutely necessary. You can’t live your life if you’re paralyzed by fear.
Why would anyone be afraid of their plants not blooming? Plants like us require constant nurture and care. We have to remember that nothing worth having comes easy. And we can’t achieve our goals if we don’t attempt to accomplish them. A lot of us tend to give up before we even begin. I was just about to!
Therefore, I personally, will learn how to take care of my future plants and I will not feel discouraged when and if they do not grow. In addition, I will apply this way of thinking to most things in life. It’s important to take risks. I will bloom through adversity!
NO FEAR!
I can’t wait to see your beautiful garden blossom : )
And you will! I’m so excited for it.
