Hazelnut Spread Cookies

Hazelnut spread is delicious. By now, everyone seems to know this from the Nutella craze going about. My husband knowing my love for these spreads, discovered that JIF made their very own and decided to surprise me with it. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. These cookies were inspired by the fact that I have 2 jars of hazelnut spread in the house. I can’t have that temptation just sitting around! I am only human!

Ingredients

2 tbs of milk

1/4 C of sugar

8oz of JIF Hazelnut spread (or Nutella)

1 large egg

1 C of all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp of baking soda

Note: If using Nutella either half the sugar or do not use at all.

Let us begin the cookie making process! Let me just tell you, these cookies are ridiculously easy to make and do not require much effort at all. A baby could make these! A baby with no baking experience whatsoever.

1. The oven needs preheating! Quickly! Make haste! 350 degrees are required!

2. In a large bowl, add all of the ingredients. All of them. This is not a joke or a ruse. Mix the ingredients until they take the shape of a dough. Now, drop that spoon and use your hands. You want to make sure that the ingredients are well-balanced and functioning as a unit.

3. On an ungreased cookie sheet, shape the dough into the size you prefer and bake for about 10 minutes.

*Note: Once the cookies are released from the oven, let them sit for a couple of seconds or even a minute. This will allow the cookie to firm up.

  1. Ohhh man. I received a few giant jars of Nutella from my fiance’s family for Christmas (my addiction is well known) and I’m always looking for new ways to bake with it, instead of just eating it from the jar with a spoon. These look so good!

    1. There is nothing wrong with eating the Nutella straight from the jar. It’s actually a beautiful thing and you should, never, ever stop! I hope you do try the cookies. My husband loved them!
