Chocolate Chip Brownies

Baking

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAt times, when amidst my thoughts, I’ll experience some sort of baking epiphany. Once this epiphany is had, I have to, I absolutely have to get into the kitchen. I must make this vision a reality! That’s pretty much how these brownies came to be. Last night, as I stewed in my anger due to my stomach’s occasional douchebaggery, I was pleasantly surprised by this wonderful recipe. It waved at me, then graciously opened its arms to let me in.

Ingredients
1 stick of butter
1 1/2 C of all-purpose flour
12 oz of Wilton’s white chocolate candy melts (or similar)
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/2 C of sugar
1/3 C of semi sweet chocolate chips
1/3 C of white chocolate chips
2 large eggs

Equipment:
double boiler or microwave

1. Sing your way into the kitchen while gathering your ingredients. As any good princess or prince would know, singing to inanimate objects and or animals works wonders on their attitude and leavens the workload. While you’re at it, preheat the oven to 350 degrees with a graceful touch and ever-so-flirty wink.

2. For this recipe you’ll need a double boiler or just your microwave. The Wilton Candy Melts can be melted in either. For the microwave, just follow the instructions on the back of the bag. If using a double boiler, fill the pot you intend to use only about 1/3 full. Gauge it, guys! Use your beautiful eyes and measure the space between the double boiler and the water, you do not want them touching. The double boiler believes that the water has cooties and we just want to keep their environment drama free.

3. Once the water is brought to a simmer and the double boiler is warm, add the butter. As soon as the butter is melted, turn off the heat and add the Wilton Candy melts. Remember to stir occasionally as they melt.

4. In a mixer, bowl, or hat, whatever you intend to use to make these guys in, add the sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until the ingredients are stuck like glue. To the prepared mixture, add the melted chocolate and then the flour. The mixture will become very thick and will be a beautiful ivory color.

5. Now, taint that ivory color with sinful chocolate chips! This is just how this recipe works. The pure must be tainted by the delicious! Mix the chocolate chips in and grease your pan with whatever you have on hand (not just whatever, don’t use a puppy, use butter, margarine, or pam!). Bake the brownies from 23-25 minutes or until a beautiful golden brown.

    1. Aww, I’m glad this recipe brought back some memories! I’m very happy with the recipe and really do hope you try it with your wonderful Mrs. P.

    1. White chocolate is more milk than anything. It’s still called chocolate for some unholy and unnatural reason. It’s pretty good, it should be called: milk sugar.

  1. I’d definitely have one of those packed to go for school right now. Looking into my cup of strawberry yoghurt with chunks of banana…I love it, but…nothing like a chocolate chip brownie!

  2. I must make these…maybe for my next girls’ night. I’m sure everyone will love them, thanks for posting it, xo!
